Deanna Taubman is a printmaker, painter and ceramic artist living in the San Francisco Bay Area. She has presented work in many nationally and internationally juried exhibitions. A native Californian, Deanna left a career in molecular biology and veterinary medicine to pursue art. She studied with a number of instructors at Skyline College and is a member of the San Mateo Library Art Exhibit Review Committee. Deanna's work is informed by her scientific background. Words, animals and the intersection of visual arts with science and the natural world are common themes across all media. Deanna Taubman sells her functional ware locally in concert with her friend Amy who is a lampwork glass artist under their joint venture, Fog & Fire Studios. Deanna’s mugs, dinnerware and Judaica can be found in the brick and mortar shop, Art Space on the Coast, on Palmetto Ave in historic downtown Pacifica.
